About Little Wonder Horse Farm
Little Wonder Horse Farm was started in 1996 with the purchase
of four miniature horses -- two stallions and two mares. When we
purchased the minis, we had no idea of their talent. We intended
only to rear them for fun and enjoyment, but found that they were
very successful show animals. Having shown quarter horses for over
twenty years, I never thought I would continue my career in miniature
horses.
Hobby Horses Silver N Gold
"Romeo", 1996 |
One of the first horses we purchased, Hobby
Horses Silver N Gold,
or "Romeo" for short, was an 8-year old unbroken stallion
used solely for pasture-breeding. Romeo was my first success story
and
the
building block of my career in miniature horses. Now over 20 years
old, he boasts 19 National Championships, numerous Reserve Championships,
and AMHR Hall of Fames in Halter
Obstacle, Country Pleasure, Jumper and Hunter.
Continued successes followed with the wins of Little Lady of Triple
J, Wonder Horses Romeos Revenge, Wonder
Horses Golden Star, FF
Victorious Rider of CC, RFM Best Bets Exotic Babe, Cross Country
Mr. Jazz, just to name a few.
A few years ago, I was fortunate
enough to become very close friends with Genevieve Dupont of
Cozy Corner Miniatures. Together, we trained, showed, and bred
horses
for several years. Sadly, she passed away in the Spring of 2005,
and her passing was a great loss to the miniature horse world.
I am proud to say I represented Cozy Corner Miniatures, and I
will continue to do so from now on. She will not be forgotten and
will
always be greatly missed. Look for us at the next show as "Cozy
Corner/Little Wonder Horse Farm." We would love to meet
you!
